I am not sure yet if I am going to leave the background as is or add to it. I love the way it really makes my lady stand out.

My newest faces

The first one is again inspired by Gritty Jane. I love her faces, I can only hope to be half as good as she is one day. The top one will have flowers around her head. Let me know what ya thin. These are just rough sketches right now.

2nd watercolor

I knew it needed some work but until I saw the picture I didn't relise how much. I just can't seem to get the nose right, much better than when I first started though. I need to practice more on my blending.. The other picture is a landscape that I was inspired to draw by a beautiful picture my friend Tiffany posted on FB. I have never tried to do this before and surprised myself that it was not bad. but I know I can get much better if I keep practicing it.

I still have some blending to do on my watercolor and my journal page still has a lot left to do but I wanted to share them.

My CD rack

I picked this CD rack up a yard sale a while back and my husband cut me some shelfs for it yesterday. So this is what I did with it. I need to get some more CD holders to put the rest of my stamps in.

going ons in my life

I am working on a poster for my work so I haven't had much time to work on my own stuff. I did work on my bird lady page yesterday but when I glued the feathers on with Mod Podge it didn't look good so I have to find some  more feathers and I am going to try hot glue. I am also working on my first Zentangle while watching tv at night with my dh. It is really fun and relaxing. I have seen some really beautiful ones out there. I will post pics when I am done.

My day

Well I had a busy day today. My oldest daughter came by this morning with my 2 grandaughters and my other daughters son who I am keeping for the night because his mommy had to work tonight and has an early morning doctors appointment. And then my dear in-laws came over at 2 for cake and coffee. Then my grandson and I worked on my art journals for a little while.  He's 3 years old and a natural crafter. I got the background pages ready to glue down my bird lady. Later tonight I plan on uploading the pages I've done. Thank you to everyone who has been leaving comments, it means a lot to me. I am excited to be up to 7 followers now too.

Practicing on my faces again. I am doing a lot better on the nose I think. Have to finish up my bird lady page I am doing, I can't wait to finish it. It is going to be really cute. So here's my faces, they don't have there hair yet because I'm not quite sure how I am going to do it yet.

My day

I have been having fun art journaling all day today with my ds Susan. This is her first time doing it and says she is a little out of her comfort zone but I think she is enjoying it. I will have lots of pictures to share in the next few days.

Here are a couple of drawings I drew last night. All in all I was quite pleased with how they turned out. I will probably use them in my art journal.

I got a Stratmore art pad at Micheals yesterday and got another one of equal value for a penny. Isn't that awesome. More art journal pages to come soon. 

My first art Journal page

The white at the top of my page is unintended. I had got black on it from the following page and have not fixed it  yet. Other than that I am very pleased with how it turned out. I worked on some more back grounds today and my son and grandon and I painted a big piece of paper and punched out some flowers and butterflies for future use. I tried a new technique today that I think I saw journal Artista do, I blended a background page with a diaper wipe and used the paint on it t creat a new page. It came out nice.

Well I have started a new venture in my crafting world. Up till now I had only done some background pages,
but today I actually started making a page. I need to take a picture of it to upload, but I cut out some houses out of a book I had torn apart ( for shame) and I painted them with gesso and then I water colored them. I did some stich marks around them. I titled it Our House and then wrote in the middle of the street. I am going to either add a street that I find in a magazine or draw one to the page. I am really likeing this new venture so far!
